The Office for Youth within the Department of Environment and Science (the department) is working with PwC Indigenous Consulting (PIC) to evaluate the Queensland Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (QIYLP) to ensure we continue to improve the program’s impact and effectiveness.
Through this evaluation, we aim to:
better understand the impacts and outcomes of the program
identify opportunities for program improvement
identify opportunities for improved engagement with program alumni.
We need your help and your feedback on your experience with QIYLP. Unless you request to be contacted, all of the information you provide will remain de-identified from the QIYLP project team and the consultant. Your insights and honesty will help inform, shape and strengthen the program into the future.

About the Queensland Indigenous Youth Leadership Program
The Queensland Indigenous Youth Leadership Program provides an exciting opportunity for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders, aged 18–25 years, to come together to strengthen their leadership skills and build their capacity to drive change in their local communities.
The program provides participants with opportunities to:
participate in intensive leadership workshops facilitated by Indigenous community leaders and content experts
participate in mentoring and networking activities with government representatives and respected Elders and community leaders
scope and prepare community project proposals to drive real local change
participate in the Eric Deeral Indigenous Youth Parliament to improve their understanding of parliamentary processes.

Privacy statement
Personal information provided by way of responses to this online survey, including screen name, email address and demographic data,is collected by the Department of Environment and Science (the department) for the purpose of managing and evaluating the Queensland Indigenous Youth Leadership Program.
The Office for Youth will use this information to measure the program’s impact and effectiveness and inform improvements to the program. PwC Indigenous Consulting (PIC) has been appointed by the department to evaluate the survey responses. Data will be securely transferred to them, and they will not use your information for any other purposes than the survey analysis. The engagement platform is hosted by EngagementHQ, a third-party cloud based service platform owned and operated by Granicus. EngagementHQ/Granicus will provide the survey responses to the department as demographic data. Granicus will not use your information for any other purposes than the survey.
The Office for Youth falls within the portfolio responsibilities of the Minister for Science and Youth Affairs. Consequently, your survey responses may be disclosed to the Minister in accordance with the responsibilities of that position. The department will not otherwise use or disclose any of the information you provide without your consent unless authorised or required by law to do so.
