Community feedback sought on enhancing Wangetti Trail infrastructure – Palm Cove entrance
The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) is seeking feedback from residents near the Palm Cove entrance to the Wangetti Trail regarding proposed improvements to infrastructure in the area.
The aim is to improve safety, reduce environmental impacts, and ensure a more organised and enjoyable experience for both residents and trail users.
Before moving forward with any plans, DETSI wants to hear from local residents and gain a clearer understanding of your views and suggestions.
Your input will help guide any decisions made to ensure they align with the needs and expectations of the community.
Proposed improvements may include:
An up to 15-space carpark on land at the end of Hideaway Close and Seclusion Drive (see map here)
Clearer signage and wayfinding for trail users
Waste disposal facilities to reduce littering
Water tap for trail users
Minor landscaping to preserve the area’s natural character

The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) uses an online engagement platform to seek feedback on various issues and initiatives.
