The Queensland Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI), in collaboration with CSIRO, have developed a new Threatened Species Prioritisation Framework. The purpose of the Framework is to guide actions and investment to support the recovery of Queensland’s threatened plants and animals.

The Framework includes:

  1. This Threatened Species Decision Support Tool (TSDT)
  2. A comprehensive database that underpins the TSDT
  3. A structured approach for how to use the TSDT

The Threatened Species Decision Tool is designed to be a user-friendly, flexible interface to access information to support priority setting for threatened species recovery.

Privacy Statement

The Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) collects your name; email address, organisation and type of organisation; and your reason for accessing the Threatened Species Decision Tool (TSDT) so we can evaluate the ways in which the TSDT is used and to assess what type of organisations are using it.

Your name and email will only be used so that we can contact you to provide additional information, updates and follow up questions. Your participation is voluntary, and you may unsubscribe from updates at any time by contacting threatened.species@des.qld.gov.au.

Your information will be collected via our third-party service provider Granicus (via Engagement HQ and In the Loop). This means that data you provide may be stored outside Australia. Please read the Terms of Use | In the Loop, Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (des.qld.gov.au) prior to subscribing. Your information may also be shared with DETSI contractors, CSIRO, for the purposes of evaluation.

Your personal information will otherwise not be used or disclosed unless authorised or required by law. Your personal information will be handled by the department in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
