Queenslanders are invited to have their say on the draft new Queensland Waste Strategy 2025–2030 – Less Landfill, More Recycling.
Queensland is working to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill each year.
To achieve this, we need a strategy that clearly outlines practical action for reducing waste, boosting recycling and supporting jobs.
We want the right plan in place to boost Queensland’s recycling rates and stimulate economic growth.
Feedback on the draft new Queensland Waste Strategy will be critical to ensure we are implementing practical measures to boost recycling and reduce impacts to the environment without adding additional costs to businesses and Queenslanders.
The draft new Queensland Waste Strategy sets the strategic framework for boosting the economy and reducing the impact of waste on the environment through better management of waste products and materials.
It includes a series of questions and supporting information to help inform your feedback.
Feedback on the current waste disposal levy settings is also being sought during this consultation period.

This survey may be used by industry, local governments, peak bodies and others with a keen interest in the waste sector.

We try to minimise the personal information collected, but we need your name and contact details to register you as a user, which allows you to complete surveys, be kept updated on projects, and to be notified of future activities (if you choose).
The platform we use is called ‘In the loop’, hosted by EngagementHQ, a third-party cloud-based service platform owned and operated by Granicus.
