Consultation has concluded
The Queensland Government is reviewing the koala habitat development rules put in place in 2020 to make sure they are effective and continue to protect important koala habitat in South East Queensland.
Feedback is being sought from landholders, industry, and the general public on the options and recommendations set out in the Consultation Post Implementation Review (PIR) report.
The online survey allows you to share information about your:
experiences in applying the 2020 koala regulation to development approvals
perspective on the impacts and effectiveness of the 2020 koala regulation

The information you provide in this online questionnaire will be collated and used by the Department of Environment and Science (the department) to understand Queensland stakeholder experiences and perspectives on clearing koala habitat for development and to help inform a Post Implementation Review of koala habitat regulations. Your email address is collected to provide you with a copy of your responses, and to enable the department to provide you with updates on the progress of the consultation process if you agreed to this during registration. The questionnaire platform is hosted by EngagementHQ, a third party cloud based service platform owned and operated by Granicus. EngagementHQ will provide the questionnaire responses to Environmental and Heritage Policy & Programs, within the department and will not otherwise use or disclose your data without your consent, or the department is authorised or required by law to do so.
