Community engagement in the review of the Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan

The Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan 2017–2022 guides how industry, government, Traditional Owners and the community work together to improve the quality of water flowing to the Great Barrier Reef.

A review is underway to develop a new plan. Understanding and incorporating community perspectives and contributions is essential for the next reiteration of the plan.

We are interested to receive feedback from community members, Traditional Owners, industry, local organisations, members of the public and others via this five minute survey.

We would like to know how you would like to engage in the review process, including what type of activities and topics would be of interest. This will assist the Australian and Queensland governments to tailor the engagement process for the review.

The new approach will continue to deliver projects that improve the quality of water flowing to the Reef while integrating activities that will create a range of other benefits for catchment communities. The new plan will also have a focus on building capacity and creating more opportunities for Traditional Owners to be involved.

This survey closes at 5pm (AEST) on 16 February 2024.
