The Queensland Government is committed to protecting the long-term health and ecological integrity of the rivers and floodplains of the Queensland Lake Eyre Basin, while recognising First Nations peoples’ connection to the region and supporting sustainable economic development.

In consultation with the Queensland Lake Eyre Basin Stakeholder Advisory Group, a set of options that could achieve these outcomes has been developed.

Feedback on the options is being sought from people who call the Queensland Lake Eyre Basin home or have a connection to its land, and the businesses and industries which operate there.

Consultation will close at 5.00pm Friday 25 August 2023.

  1. Review the Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement and Community summary.
  2. Set up an In the Loop account. Setting up an account helps protect the integrity of the survey results.

  4. Submit your response. Once submitted a copy of your response will be emailed to you.
