Consultation on the draft updates to the Landfill siting, design, operation and closure guideline

Waste disposal activities must be sited, designed, operated and rehabilitated appropriately. Evidence of this must be provided in any environmental authority (EA) applications for a waste disposal activity (ERA 60) under the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

The Landfill siting, design, operation and rehabilitation guideline, which provides clarity around the department’s expectations for waste disposal in Queensland, is currently under review.

Industry stakeholders and the community are invited to have their say on the draft updates to the guideline, renamed as the ‘Landfill siting, design, operation and closure guideline’, by completing the following short survey:

Consultation closes at 5pm Friday 8 March 2024.
